Minxies 2018 Autumn Shoot - Mounton Brook Lodge

Smaller than our usual madness of a shoot. This Autumn 2018 Minxies Shoot was in an absolute gem of a find. I was asked last minute at the start of the summer of 2018 to be the MUA on a venue shoot at Mounton Brook Lodge, Chepstow. Being a wedding MUA for a number of years I couldn't recall it and as I pulled up to the venue I knew I had never been there before. This venue was brand spanking new. The owner, Charlotte, had completely renovated the property into an intimate, adorable and unique wedding venue. From the second I got there I knew I wanted to do the upcoming Minxies Shoot there. The rooms are spectacularly designed with a separate room altogether to walk down the aisle. Blending contemporary chic with its authentic traditional character. What a place!
We worked with our favourite photographer Peter Morgan (Morgan James Photography) who always comes up with fresh, new ideas which we absolutely love. This one is always thinking outside the box and makes the models feel free and easy. On the videography part was Reg (DJ Skillkid), brand new to us working together, Reg listened to what I wanted and created a video of the shoot that was more than I ever imagined. It really captured the whole theme perfectly. Video is below.
We had half the number of models we usually had as we had a smaller number of the team available (all these wedding bookings get in the way!!) but it didn't stop us from creating some killer looks. Strong lips with classic designs. As always our love for Aslett & Willatt bespoke hair accessories never dies....we adore all of their items and love creating our looks around them. The dresses were from Lenka Bespoke Bridal who designs all of her wedding dresses, very talented lady. To add to the overall look the bride wouldn't be a bride without a bouquet and didn't we find a little gem in Jens Bouquets! Jen makes these intricate and show stopping bouquets to order and they just shine in the photographs. Cherry Blossom fancies came in with a gorgeous table design to set the scene for one of our shots, we were in love with the gold and pastel pinks.
As always a fantastic shoot and we have lots and lots of material to work with!
