Because I don’t live in Wales I didn’t know where to look or where to find makeup and hair that I can trust. I found Minxies, saw their great reviews, and thought this looks good, I’ll just hope for the best. The first step is doing a trial, which was an amazing experience. They listened to everything I wanted, didn’t make me feel like I was asking for too much, and made me look exactly how I wanted to. On the wedding day they did even more than they had to. Not only did mine and all of my bridesmaids’ hair and makeup look amazing but they helped me with a flower incident I had, gathered everyone for the first look, and helped me adjust my dress. 𝟙𝟛 𝕪𝕖𝕒𝕣𝕤 𝕠𝕗 𝕡𝕒𝕚𝕟𝕥𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝔹𝕣𝕚𝕕𝕖𝕤 💗 And I still am so in love with this ‘job’. Well I don’t still even call it ‘work’. It’s my place I feel relaxed in and at my best. I trained to be a primary school teacher by always wanted to do make up. When I finished my degree I came straight back and trained to be an MUA. I drove round in my little red KA charging brides £25 🤣 I took 2.5 hours to do my first ever bride (poor love!). Roll on 13 years, I have a team of 13 bridal hairstylists and bridal MUAs. Hundreds of bridal bookings each year and now we are becoming more in demand further afield 💗 Next year I’m doing three destination weddings (maybe more). That teaching degree has finally come in handy as I’m going to be launching some Make Up Courses for non MUAs and MUAs who want to get into bridal.
