Any interview with any high flying MUA when asked how did you get here they ALWAYS say… 🖤I started recording everything 🖤I got really good at taking pictures of my work 🖤I started sharing my work on social media 🖤I documented all my work for ppl to see Being an exceptional MUA will only get you so far without knowing how to show off your work on social media. We were shocking at it until Covid hit and I thought I need to learn everything about filming for our social media. Roll on four years we get A LOT of a bridal bookings from our instagram page and our TikTok. BUT it is very time consuming. I had to bring in Kayls as an Operations Manager to take over that side of the biz so I could solely focus on the social media side of things. My advice. Film everything but most importantly film your finished painted faces in good angles and great lighting. Don’t over edit ❌ gone are the days when you put 15 filters on one photo so the person has no features! Bridal MUAs especially, it’s our best work every day….we need to SHOW IT OFF!
