Because I don't live in Wales I didn't know where to look or where to find makeup and hair that I can trust. I found Minxies, saw their great reviews, and thought this looks good, I'll just hope for the best. The first step is doing a trial, which was an amazing experience. They listened to everything I wanted, didn't make me feel like I was asking for too much, and made me look exactly how I wanted to. On the wedding day they did even more than they had to. Not only did mine and all of my bridesmaids' hair and make up look amazing but they helped me with a flower incident I had, gathered everyone for the first look, and helped me adjust my dress. The energy in the room was amazing thanks to them. When you book Minxies you book more than just hair and makeup.

Minxies is such an amazing company and I would recommend them to anyone who wants to get the perfect look for their wedding day. They respond quickly, their prices are reasonable and they are so professional and experienced. From the first time I met Abi in the hair trial to the actual wedding day she made me feel completely at ease. She is so warm and lovely and it was so amazing having her do my hair for my wedding as she is so skilled at what she does. On the wedding morning she did my hair, my mum’s and my two bridesmaids in under 2 hours. There was no rush to do it in that time, she is just that good! Abi not only made the wedding morning stress-free but she also made it even more fun for us as she is such a lovely person making us laugh and just being so chatty. The final result was absolutely amazing. I felt so glamorous and confident and my wedding party looked absolutely beautiful. Abi had three different hair types to work with and only a photo to go off for the styles they wanted and what she created was incredible. Our hair stayed put all day even though it was a really hot day and we all got so many compliments. I would 100% recommend Minxies and Abi to anyone who wants their hair done for their special day. Your hair will look incredible and during the actual styling you will feel relaxed and have a laugh, which is what you want on what can be such a nerve wracking morning! Thank you so much! Lauren was amazing! Lauren arrived early and handed me over at 12:00pm an hour before the ceremony. She was professional but so friendly and made us all feel at ease and couldn’t do enough for us! She did my hair and make up, my mums make up and the 3 adult bridesmaids make up effortlessly with time to spare. She made sure everyone was happy continuously and did a fantastic job following the looks she perfected at the trial. I asked for a soft glam to still be more natural and she delivered. The look really complimented my dress and the style of the wedding. She made sure my hair and make up would last and it did until the early hours in the lovely August heat. The whole morning went so smoothly and stress free. I have a few friends that are engaged and I have already recommended Minxies. From start to finish Minxies were fabulous! We had Jodie for makeup and Amy for hair. Our trials went very smoothly, Jodie and Amy are both happy to make any changes that you ask for. On the wedding day Amy and Jodie smashed every look out of the park! I felt absolutely beautiful and I loved my hair and makeup which stayed in place all day! My bridesmaids and MOH looked and felt amazing! We had so many compliments all day! After myself and my bridesmaids/MOH were ready my son asked for a little bit of makeup on and Jodie happily obliged! (Thank you for making him feel special Jod) After I came back from doing my first look with my groom, Amy was helping to keep my daughter occupied while my bridesmaids finished getting ready. Amy also helped get my daughters socks and shoes on so that she was ready. I can't thank you both enough, you went above and beyond for us! If you want someone to hype you up on the morning of your wedding while getting you ready, then these two are definitely the ones you need!

I can't recommend Minxies enough! A few weeks before my wedding my hairdresser cancelled on me, so I contacted Minxies and they couldn't have been more helpful and amazing!!! During my trial they had me & my mother in stitches laughing and nothing was too much trouble - they amended my makeup 3 times till I felt comfortable. They weren't happy till I was happy, nothing was too much trouble. On my wedding day, they were a bundle of joy and energy and got me laughing about the severe weather warning! They were amazing with the entire bridal party, including the kids and babies. They worked really quickly and the hair and makeup was flawless for everyone and it lasted all day and night. I booked the team at Minxies after having met them at a wedding fayre and then followed them on social media. I wear a fair bit of makeup, I’m confident at doing my own and I’ve done a load of friends makeup for events, so I don’t underestimate how difficult it can be with unfamiliar face/feature shapes, hair, skin and with different people’s tastes. What I was so impressed with at Minxies from the outset was how they prided themselves on making real women look like the best version of themselves, which was exactly what I wanted - and the ladies absolutely delivered on that! Jodie and Abi were amazing, they were extremely prompt and professional without compromising how lovely they were to chat with. They did an outstanding job with my mum, my multiple bridesmaids who all looked amazing, they absolutely nailed my wedding day look AND it all lasted all day with absolutely minimal maintenance. I don’t know how they did it, we got rained on and even then those looks weren’t budging!! They also kept us on time despite the number of people booked and the time slot we had available (our hired wedding car drivers actually commented that it’s one of the only weddings they’ve ever worked where the bridal party were smack on time - and that was all down to Jodie and Abi!) which made SUCH a difference to keeping the stress levels down. Honestly I can’t thank you enough for how you both made everyone feel, how efficient you were and the wonderful work you did. I’d honestly recommend you to anyone!!

After a horrific experience with my first make up artist, I booked Minxies only 2 weeks before my wedding leaving us no time for trials. I know this petrified Jodie but it needn't have! The BEST choice you’ll make for your wedding We only had a small wedding but having my bridal party’s hair and makeup done was an absolute non negotiable. After looking around for a few weeks I finally settled on Minxies and it was the best decision! Everything was sorted out in record time and before I knew it the trial date was booked in, when it came to the trial Jodie and Li were brilliant! They’re both so skilled and professional at what they do and I can’t fault them for anything, all of us were extremely happy with our hair and makeup! My makeup lasted beautifully throughout the whole day and held up really well through all the crying I did too. Hair was solid and didn’t move at all right up until I was getting into bed. If you go for Minxies for your wedding you won’t be disappointed, the girls are amazing and it’s so worth it for the price and the whole experience - if you don’t believe me the pictures speak for themselves

As an older lady (!) ie mother of one of the brides, I can definitely recommend Minxies. Jodie and Amy came to the house for a trial run, and then to the hotel, very early, on the big day. They didn't just do everything perfectly for my daughter, they worked individually with me and all the bridesmaids, with our different needs. Jodie persuaded me to use lashes for the first time (!) and adjusted the length to suit my glasses, and Amy pinned my hair up expertly and it lasted all day, even after photos up at the mountain viewpoint! Such lovely people, they got the day off to a flying start. It was a fantastic day, thank you xxx

Wow wow wow! Where to even start with how amazing Jodie was. Throughout the whole process Minxies were an absolutely amazing company. Clear communication and a friendly approach. The day of my trial I was so nervous as I really wanted to feel like myself but also have more confidence in my appearance, as there's so much pressure as a bride. As soon as Jodie turned up I knew I'd found the perfect person to help bring my hope to life. Her make up skills are absolutely flawless and I've never felt more comfortable in my own skin. From the moment I messaged Jodie on instagram, I knew Minxies was the right hair and makeup team for my wedding. The Minxies team were always very quick to respond and always very helpful. Jodie and Abi were so lovely, and listened to everything I wanted at the hair and makeup trial. They helped me to relax and have a laugh on my wedding day, when I was very nervous. They had 9 of us ready in plenty of time, for photos before the ceremony. My bridesmaids and my hair and makeup was perfect all day and still looked perfect until the early hours of the morning. I would like to thank Jodie and Li who looked after me and my bridal party at my wedding at the end of July. They were both so welcoming, friendly and instantly put me at ease, like having two extra friends getting ready with us. Jodie did an absolutely amazing job on my make up. I had asked for a few little tweaks following my bridal trial and she absolutely nailed it first time. I loved the look she created and felt a million dollars. Not only that, my bridesmaids and mother all looked gorgeous too. Next, the hair!! Li just 'got the assignment'! I wanted most of my hair up off my neck and out of my face as the weather was so hot but still wanted long locks down my back to complimentoff my backless dress. Again, nailed it. I had a head full of extensions too and didn't feel them at all which I was really worried about. I also have to mention the miracle Li worked on my mother's hair. She has ALOT of it but Li tamed it beautifully so much so the style and curls were a till in 3 days later! Amazing job. My mum said how no one had ever worked with her hair as well as Li did. Aside from the make up and hairdressing, Jodie and Li also played their hands at babysitting, photographing and tik tok content creators and directors!!! The girls stayed behind for easily an hour, if not longer, once their main job was done to help us get aisle ready and to see the finishing product. They were indispensable. If you are looking for your wedding glam team, choose these guys. You will not be disappointed!
